2004 Community Strategy
The Community Strategy for Devon , published in June 2004, is the document that takes the challenges facing Devon , with the vision for Devon , and outlines actions that the Devon Strategic Partnership believe should be taken. It builds on the work of Focus on Devon .
It was the result of true partnership working, with many people from different sectors and organisations working together to produce a joint document.
The current strategy will be renewed in mid 2008 to reflect the changes to Devon and its people, to recognise the community planning that has happened throughout Devon 's communities in recent years, and to respond to the direction of Govt thinking.

Focus On Devon
Focus on Devon is a report that was produced by the Devon Strategic Partnership in June 2004 with the aim of producing a comprehensive understanding about what life in Devon was like, and then identifying the challenges that needed to be tackled in order to make the quality of life we enjoy even better. In each section of the report, a story has been told about life in Devon.
Focus on Devon formed the foundation for the 204 Community Strategy for Devon, which focussed on addressing the challenges raised. In March 2006, the Devon Strategic Partnership Executive agreed to create an updated evidence base for a new sustainable Community Strategy.
