Devon Strategy Partnership - stronger together

The Devon Strategic Partnership is currently developing a new Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) for Devon. This will inform the new generation Local Area Agreement (LAA) which will run from 2008-2011. A project has been developed to deliver both the SCS and the LAA. The following pages provide more detail about the project.

The Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) will be produced as a summary booklet supported by a website that provides more detailed information about evidence, consultation and proposed action.  This website will be accessible from here once launched in July 2008.

"The role of the Sustainable Community Strategy is to set out the strategic vision for a place. It provides a vehicle for considering and deciding how to address difficult cross-cutting issues such as the economic future of an area, social exclusion and climate change. Building these issues into the community's vision in an integrated way is at the heart of creating sustainable development at a local level."

Stage 1 - Evaluation:

Stage 2 - Evidence Base:

Stage 3 - Visioning:

Stage 4 - Prioritisation:

Stage 5 - Outcomes and Action Planning:
